My Voile Maxi Dress

One of the things on my list of things to make as soon as we got the voile in was a Maxi Dress.  During the month of July we will be focusing on dresses and this dress is in the line-up for Tuesday, July 26.

I cut it out on Thursday and was AMAZED at how fast it went together this morning.  I even finished my seams, and I still managed to finish it in about 2 hours.

Next up:  Another Maxi Dress using  this voile:

Also, as promised here are some more pictures from the Minnesota Quilt Show.

Prince Charming Arrives

Hang around me long enough and you’ll soon learn that I have this thing for Bond movies, especially since Daniel Craig started playing 007!   Hubba Hubba Ding Dong!!   He can slip my size 11 glass slipper on for me any day!

But alas, not today.  Today my Prince Charming is fabric by Tula Pink!  Which frankly, I’ll admit, has my heart beating just as fast.  Just look at how beautiful it is:

This is the raindrop laminate that I think would make a great rain coat!

The other laminate is full of frogs!  Can you see them?  Isn’t that just as charming as can be?

Along with the two laminates we have the voiles.  When Patty and I were picking these fabrics out we both gravitated towards the small hexagon fabrics.  We couldn’t pick just one, so we got all three.   I also fell in love with the dark voile on the bottom, I just think it’s the prettiest fabric!

I think what I like about Prince Charming is how Tula Pink infused different critters into the fabrics.  See the snail in the shell?

But from a distance all you see is the shell shape and of course the beautiful color!

Stay tuned for more of this line.  We have a lot of the quilting cottons on their way!  In fact, I’m hoping Daniel Greg will make a special delivery just for me. Hey, it could happen!
