We find that creativity is sparked by learning, and that’s why we offer sewing classes for sewists of all ages and skill levels. Whether you simply want to brush up on the sewing basics or are an experienced sewist ready for a new challenge, we’re excited to continue learning together.
Our sewing classes are categorized into the following skill levels:
Level 1
Classes rated ’1′ cover the sewing basics. No prior sewing experience is required or expected! This class will introduce you to using a sewing machine.
Sample Level 1 project: pillowcase
Level 2/Beginner
Once you’ve gotten the hang of using the machine, these classes are the next step. You’ll learn about selecting and using commercial patterns and basic construction techniques.
Sample Level 2 project: pajama pants
Level 3/Advanced Beginner
Building on the basics, level 3 classes focus on techniques. The level 3 sewist is comfortable working with minimal instruction and can complete beginner projects independently.
Sample level 3 project: A-line skirt
Level 4/Intermediate
Advanced techniques and construction are the focus of level 4 classes.
